Cricket World Cup 2015: England coach Peter Moores wants to stay

 Peter Moores wants to stay as England coach despite his side's World Cup exit at the hands of Bangladesh.

England lost by 15 runs in a match they had to win to stay in the tournament.

Moores, who is in his second spell in charge of England, told BBC Sport he wanted to continue in his role but admitted "it's not my decision".


England and Wales Cricket Board managing director Paul Downton told Sky Sports: "I have every faith in Peter Moores, he's a very experienced coach."

However, Downton said the England players lacked experience, adding: "Whoever took this job was going to have a really difficult job."

Australia legend Shane Warne said England's demise was not a surprise and thinks former Lancashire coach Moores is now "in trouble".

Warne tweeted England had picked "the wrong team" and "the wrong style of play" to succeed at the tournament, which is being held in Australia and New Zealand.  Read More...
