When run-of-the-mill auto makers launch a new car, they send out a
press release. When legendary luxury limousine maker Rolls-Royce does
it, the Prime Minister is summoned.
British Prime Minister David Cameron
was at Rolls-Royce’s plant in Goodwood, Sussex, Wednesday on the south
coast of England, and welcomed the announcement that the company, maker
of hugely expensive limousines, coupes and convertibles, would expand
its model line-up with an ultra-luxury SUV.
This probably won’t please the purists who think Rolls Royce should
only be in traditional sectors of the market, but they lost out long ago
anyway when the company was bought by BMW. Read More...
