Springpath Launches Its Storage Platform--Too Little, Too Late?

There is a veritable crescendo of vendors in the industry rushing to deliver new approaches towards storage. I’ve been writing for some time about the issues facing incumbent storage vendors, and it seems that start-ups have smelled bloody and are joining in a figurative feeding frenzy all aimed at unseating those traditional vendors.
Today’s example is Springpath, a company founded in 2012 by some VMware veterans and which has, until now, been in stealth mode. Springpath has raised a significant war chest – some $34 million in funding from Sequoia Capital, New Enterprise Associates and Redpoint Ventures. Read More...
